Инициативата цели ранно откриване на заболяването и повишаване на информираността по време на „Седмицата на отворените врати“ от 16 до 20 юни
Безплатни профилактични прегледи за туберкулоза ще се провеждат от 16 до 20 юни в Отделението по фтизиатрия към Клиниката по пневмология на УМБАЛ „Свети Георги“, в рамките на инициативата „Седмица на отворените врати“. Основната цел е да се открият ранните, дори скрити форми на инфекцията, което позволява своевременно лечение и прекъсване на веригата на предаване. Кампанията също така цели да повиши информираността относно начините на заразяване, рисковите фактори, клиничното протичане, лечението и възможностите за превенция, като осигури достъп до здравни услуги за всички желаещи.
