Депутатите ще разгледат два законопроекта, насочени към модернизацията на Българската армия, повишаване на подготовката и статута на военнослужещите, както и към ефективното изпълнение на международните ангажименти на страната в рамките на съюзническите структури за отбрана.
Пленарният ден започва с приемане на процедурни правила за избора на генерален директор на Българската телеграфна агенция.
Сред основните предложения в законопроектите са въвеждането на нова категория обучаеми – „колежани“, възможност за обучение на войници и резервисти в професионални колежи, уеднаквяване на пределната възраст за хабилитирани военнослужещи на 57 години и нови правила за отпуските, които ще могат да се ползват в тригодишен срок.
Предвижда се също правна уредба за използване на оръжие срещу безпилотни системи при охрана на военни обекти и синхронизиране на терминологията в отбранителното законодателство.
Народното събрание ще обсъди и допълнение към международния договор LOA BU-P-AAD „Sidewinder AIM-9X Block II“, свързан с американската програма FMS за доставка на ракети „въздух–въздух“. Промените няма да засегнат стойността на вече платения договор от 2019 г., а целят оптимизация на доставките и актуализиране на техническите условия.
