Вековната сграда на бул. „Христо Ботев“ 51, която Специализираният експертен съвет по опазване на недвижимото културно наследство определи като единичен културен паметник днес, вече я няма.
Въпреки решението на СЕСОНКЦ складът бе разрушен от обяд досега, като багерът работи дори по тъмно. Той изпревари заповедта на министъра на културата Велислав Минеков за даване статут на вековната постройка. Унищожаването й завършва в момента, а вероятно утре целия имот ще бъде дори разчистен. На място има полиция, районът е отцепен.
Днес Специализираният експертен съвет реши да защити сградата със статут на единичен паметник на културата. Това обаче не спря собствениците й, тъй като процедурата не е завършена, а те имат подписан от община Пловдив „План за безопасност и здраве“, на база който разчистват парцела.
