Планират старт на ново строителство върху археология на самия площад Централен, част от форумния комплекс на Филипополис. Инвестиционният проект за малкия парцел между бар Пощата и къщата на емблематичния индустриалец и дарител Димитър Кудоглу е на известната бизнесдама Вероника Иванова от Верона Резиденс. Това е инвеститорката, получила условна присъда за унищожаване на единичен паметник на културата само на броени метри от имота на площад „Централен“ – къщата на Куцоглу на ул. „Гладстон“.
По информация на Под тепето тя вече разполага с всички необходими строителни книжа и разрешително за дейностите си, които могат да стартират всеки момент. То ще е в имот, върху който преди 30-ина години имаше стара къща. След като бе съборена мястото остана само дупка, пълна с археологически останки от самия Античния форум. Множеството красиви архитектурни елементи от Агората се виждат в дупката и днес. Те са били предмет на археологическо проучване, а скоро ще бъдат затрупани от бетон.
Как ще изглежда новата сграда и дали ще се вписва в архитектурния ансамбъл с шедьоври в района, все още не е ясно.
