С исландския романист започват Европейски писателски срещи – Пловдив 2017
Европейски писателски срещи – Пловдив открива исландският писател Йон Калман Стефансон. Предстои да излезе на български език втората му книга "Тъгата на ангелите", която ще бъде представена на срещата на 7 юни 2017, сряда от 18,30 ч в Културен център на Радио Пловдив.
Себастиан Марек, Iceland Review пише: „Стефансон е романист, който пише поезия – поезия понякога пестелива, друг път епична, придружена от лирични полети на изразността, които внезапно се превръщат в прозаични изявления. Сетивното му писане е наситено с първични емоции и очевидни философски истини, дразнещи и пленителни, над които непрекъснато тегне заплахата да спрат да бъдат вземани насериозно за даденост.“
Йон Калман Стефансон е роден през 1963 година в Рейкявик. Поет, романист и преводач, той е един от най-изтъкнатите съвременни исландски писатели. Има четири номинации за Литературната награда на Северния съвет, носител е на Исландската литературна награда (2005) за романа си „Лятна светлина и след нея пада нощ“ и на шведската литературна награда на името на Пер Улув Енквист (2011) за „Между рая и ада“. Неговите произведения са преведени на десетки езици.
